(Not So?) New Finds

As I have stayed pretty clear of baby stuff over the past years, I haven't been keeping up-to-date with what's cool and hip in the baby world. To be honest, it's not that I didn't like baby stuff, it's just that I would break out in hives, chills and a cold sweat when I neared the Target baby aisle. It's getting better, though. Good thing, eh?!

Now that I'm starting to think WAY more about baby stuff, I'm finding some great stuff! I'm sure that everyone has one of these by now, but I just about died when I saw the Weeblock.

I had to be totally bribed to go into Babies R Us the first time... good thing there's a Krispy Kreme right by the one in Columbus, eh?? I was breaking out in hives, but it got easier.

Ha! Now that I think about it, isn't there a Krispy Kreme right next to the one in GR as well? Hmmmm...smart marketing or just plain mean?

that took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on in that picture! I was like "why would beth want her baby to wear a loin cloth??" haha! What a random find!

I have never seen anything like the weeblock. Good thing you put a link on there! What a hoot! From personal experience I can assure you that you will survive just fine without one. Jake has only peed on me once and Mike twice. Of course, I think me may have gotten Mom Dekker a few more times than that so maybe it just depends on your kid!

I agree with Lisa, I doubt this weeblock thing is a necessity. Maybe more of a crazy shower gift?

Ok, so you'll find that there's an item out there with a similar purpose and an equally quippy name: the PeePee TeePee. As clever as the names are, I've heard neither of them work well - they end up being urine soaked projectiles and the mess still isn't contained. As you probably know, I don't know this from experience since it's less helpful in Madelyn's case.

I think you should skip the Weeblock and go for those stylish wings!! I think Maddie will like her future husband in wings :)

holy crap! my mom sent me a link to this when i was carrying ezra. i needed a weeblock after i saw the picture since i just about peed my pants. holy crap! what a gimmick! i want to meet the person who buys this because they think they seriously need it! we just used a washcloth, but that actually sometimes seemed to maybe set things in motion, if you catch my drift. i think the less contact, the less "expression".
