A Dekker Christmas

On Christmas morning, bright and early, we headed to Grand Rapids, Michigan to visit Nick's family! We finally got to meet the newest Dekker Grandchild, Clara. Will, is, of course, posing for the camera. Is this kid the product of two theatre geeks or what?

He got some extra special time with Grandpa Dekker.

Nick is the second of four brothers, from left to right, Greg, Mike, Dan and Dr. Nicholas "Handsome" Dekker.

Will loved his gifts, and especially loved the walker his Aunt Lisa and Uncle Mike gave him - he can hold himself up on it, but mostly chewed on the handle. There are definitely days where it seems as though he will be walking tomorrow.

Another of this kid's amazing expressions.

Of course, the best part of any good present is the packaging!

And the whole Dekker clan!

We also got to spend some time with Will's Great-Grandma Dekker, and he was all smiles for her.

Then we headed to Fredrich Meijer Gardens, where they were featuring Christmas trees from all over the world. It was beautiful!

But true Dekker men don't go to see the Christmas trees! They go to see the TRAINS!

They had a giant train set that travelled through three or four rooms, over bridges you walked under, with sounds and everything.

Will was just about as taken by them as his father and his grandfather. And I got the picture to prove it.

As for Will walking tomorrow... my best friend's baby girl started walking at 8 months. So it could be weeks away, I suppose!

And I didn't realize that we had voted for the title of most handsome Dekker man. If Nick has already claimed the title, "Handsome Nick Dekker," then I vote that Dan be "Dashing Dan."

That last picture of Nick and Will with matching hats AND matching awed expressions is terrific.

Can Mike be "Michael the Magnificent" or "Mike the Man Dekker"? I think they both fit him well.

The close up of Will with his hat on is just incredible. I'd love a print of that to hang on our fridge! What a doll you have!

Ok, Greg wants to be known as "Sexy-Beast Dekker".

The last picture of Nick and Will is *perfect*! It totally made my night at work when I saw it!

I love that last picture! Those hats are wonderful. Looks like your holidays were great! I'm looking forward to hearing about the New Years bash and how it went!
