This is the blog of Nick, Beth, Will, Maeby, and the forthcoming Baby Dekker. Located in Columbus, Ohio, we're new-ish parents who arts it up with our friends in Wild Goose Creative, enjoy the all the food and fun Columbus has to offer, church it up at the Central Vineyard, and most importantly, enjoy raising our first child, Will, while looking forward to the birth of our second.
yay!!! i am LEAPING with joy out here in the NW! (well not so much leaping as swimming what with all the rain lately, but i digress...) i can just picture little baby BOY d right now. so cute! congratulations you guys. that is the best news i've had all day!
yes! boys rawk! well, so do girls, but i have a boy, so i am a bit biased. i am SO excited for the both of you! isn't it amazing seeing that ultrasound? i think it's so cool that your little guy could come very close to having the same birthday as my little guy--july 2nd! maybe you'll get lucky and have him on the 4th. i actually found out that you can get college scholarships just for being born on the 4th of july! crazy....love you guys!
Speaking of Dekker Y chromosomes, since Dad produced four male Dekkers, the least we could do is make one each. It looks like Nick and I are done - Dan, Greg?
Jake wants to add: yay, a boy cousin! I've had enough of my sisters already...
I am so happy for you. I was gone overnight at a conference last night and Mike played the video for me on the phone. I've already done some shopping (I was at an outlet mall -- I couldn't help myself)! Doesn't this just make is seem that much more real? I always felt like I had more of a connection with my kids after I knew the sex of the baby. Maybe it was just me? How fun!
Ha ha! You guys are such nerds...I love it. :) Your son is going to be amazingly entertaining and talented. He has good genes for it. (Will he also prove to be incredibly organized and ambitious? Time will tell!)
You can still NAME him after one of the Ewoks.... Little Wicket Dekker, I can see it now....
