Friends

Nick and I headed up child care for our small group this past week, and got to play outside with the kids on a beautiful night.

Even though most of the kids were older than him, Will held his own and seemed to have a great time with other fellow kiddos.

Of course, there is the always popular climbing-the-wrong-way-up-the-slide game.

But then little Miss Temperance, a cute little two-year-old catches Will's eye.

She seems to fancy him as well, even though he is about a year younger than she.

And...too much hugging for Will.

But she tries again, which is just too cute for words!

Will finally warmed up to the sweet hugs from Temperance, and we just thought it was about the cutest thing in the world.

watch it, temperance. you may be cute (blast you and your parents' genes!), but we closed the "will deal" before you and your adorable hugs were even gracing this earth :)

It's a good thing first cousins aren't allowed to get married (although don't tell that to a patient I met here in Kentucky the other day), otherwise Maddie and Temperance would have to compete with Clara for Will's affect--- oh gross, I have to stop, that's not even funny to joke about!

HA! That's hilarious - I don't think we should go down the cousin road...you guys have been in KY too long! :)

I have to tell all of you, in the interest of full disclosure, Will received his first proposal from a waitress in a Pittsburgh Eat & Park when he was 7 months old...she said to track her down in 20 years and she would marry him in an instant! :)

So, all of you, line up! I will consider various trades...

wow, reverse dowries. never thought i'd have to arrange such a thing. we're considering raising chickens someday...does that count? otherwise, i'll offer my second-born in a "two for one" deal. better for me anyway---only one set of in-laws to worry about :)

This is a simple knee-jerk comment. I haven't read the ones already left as I'm still fairly emotional about the pictures I've seen.

Will, I commend you for throwing that elbow at Lil'Miss Temp in that last photo. However, there were many opportunities before then for you to run away. You know, like Joseph bolted from Potiphar's wife leaving his robes behind so not to waste time. I'm not saying you need to ditch the diaper, too, just get out of there... get the heck out, friend.

Now that I've gotten that initial tirade out of the way: Will, buddy. Didn't you and I have this one on one conversation when we were out visiting you? Whatever. I know retention was a little lacking as you were only a handful of months old, but you sure smiled a lot. I thought you were there with me.

Okay, okay. No hard feelings, right Will? Just... please... don't let it happen again.

Love and miss you guys!
