Will showed us some of his first smiles while his Grandma and Grandpa Meyer were visiting earlier last week. As predicted, once he smiled, everyone in the room tried again and again to do exactly what they were doing the moment he first smiled. He did have a few more for us, and he's continuing to practice a couple times a day.
And the piece de resistance... Will giving his daddy a big ole smile today. Look for it right around :50. Like I said... you feel like a million bucks!

What a sweetie pie! Ours is still in the oven, but we are hoping he makes an arrival this week since we fly to FL 3 weeks from tomorrow.
Those first few smiles are so amazing! Admittedly, they stay pretty special though even months later. Just wait until he reaches his arms out for you when he sees you or squeals in delight when you walk through the door. There's nothing like your own kid to boost your ego! (At least until they start school anyway and discover that their teacher is WAY cooler than you.) Enjoy every smile!
You three are the cutest little family unit I've seen in quite some time, if not the cutest I've ever seen. Maybe you leave out the videos of the screaming and hair-pulling-out, which is probably a wise choice, but still...I love seeing how much you're enjoying Will. :)
will is just too cute! it's so fun to see his eyes open and his little arms and legs moving around. all those little newborn mouth movements--including the smiling!--are so great. it's like their movements are happened to them with no control on their part. they are as much a surprise to them as they are to us! so cute :)
