Piano prodigy?

Over the holiday Will was opened to many new experiences, including - as we see here - playing the piano with Grandma Dekker. Enjoy our budding prodigy's composition. It's a modern piece.

And Happy New Year, everyone!

  1. I noticed the West Side Story sheet music on the piano. It I am not mistaken that last number will played was a minimalist jazz version of "OFFICER KRUPKE" very impressive.

  2. I LOVE it! Keep up the good work, guys, I expect him to start lessons no later than the age of 2 and a half (that's when I started!)

  3. Yeah! I started at 5, so maybe we'll wait a few years!

  4. A modern piece indeed. I couldn't quite make out the time signature of that one - was it the oft-neglected 5-7? Or maybe 4-9? He'll have to tell us when he can start putting sheet music together.

  5. Excellent! I especially enjoyed Will's use of dissonant chords and the way he looked up at you after each masterful 'pounce' as if to ask, "It's good, right?!"

    God bless y'all.
