Weekend in G-Rap!

We spent this last weekend up in Grand Rapids with my family. Will got to spend a lot of time with his cousins. He and his only boy cousin Jake found the cars pretty quickly.

Cars are also perfect for lining up on window sills.

"UNCLE MIKE!"

We took a trip with Mom and Dad to Frederick Meijer Gardens on Friday. Despite a little bit of rain, Will got plenty of time to play in the fountains outside. Our little fish seemed to love it all!

We of course stopped by the gigantic horse sculpture. I had never seen it before - it's impressive!

Helping with the laundry?

I had one of those moments today, while working at home with Will. A moment where suddenly, it gets too quiet in the other room. So I snuck in the living room to discover this...

A little boy having way too much fun with a basket of clean laundry.

The best part was that he actually helped me put it back in the basket. What a good boy!

Marina & James' Wedding Weekend!

This past weekend we celebrated the marriage of Beth's sister Marina to James, her high school sweetheart. Here's a look at just a few pictures from the weekend.

Beth arranged all the flowers, with the help of the entire family, aka The Wedding Crew. Notice the matching shirts?

A look at one of the finished products...

Our little man at the rehearsal. We were so proud of him the whole weekend. He went with it all... busy preparations, parties, the wedding and reception... he powered right through nap time and kept smiling and blowing kisses.

The piece de resistance... Will's wedding attire. Look out, ladies!

At the reception.
Goofing off with Pop-Pop Richards.

Will with his second cousin Liam. The two cutest boys at the reception!

It was a busy weekend, but so much fun.

And stay tuned! September 19, 2009... we know someone else getting married!

Blowing kisses!

Recently we taught Will how to blow kisses, and he's been repeating the gesture all the time now. He doesn't quite have the kiss part down, and he expects a big response from it. Probably because we always reacted like we were being hit by the kisses! He's also added his own little flourish at the end... not really sure what this is, but it's funny all the same.
